I have been making small updates to our humble office as part of this year’s home goals. Last week I posted about how I updated the bulletin boards. This week I’m posting a few glimpses of how I updated the ceiling fan in the room. I really do detest this fan, but this will do until the budget allows for something else.

Before:

Hideous.

I unscrewed the globe and in its place, put a drum lamp shade that looks like this…:

…so the shade would essentially hang upside down and would be held in place by the light bulb.

And after:

Not a huge change, but I like it. For now at least. :) I may cover the shade in linen.
